Home Regional Departments of Endowments and Religious Affairs

Department of Finance Affairs: is specialized in the following:
  1. - Accounting of the collectors undo what has been collected from Zakat' funds.
  2. Receiving Zakatreceipts and depositing them in the bank accounts assigned to them, in coordination with the competent authorities in the Ministry.
  3. Preparing the records to register the zakat receipts for setting revenues.
  4. Implementing the instructions and resolutions issued by specialists in the Ministry in term of collecting Zakat' beneficiaries and making a file having their names.
  5. Distributing Zakat'revenues to its legitimate banks in coordination with the sub-committees of the states and authorities competent in this regard.

The functions of Endowments and Religious Affairs Departments:
  1. Supervising the properties of endowments and Bayt Al-Mal, keeping them from any infringements, and preparing records to register them .
  2. Supervising Imams and Preachers, following-up the program of preaching and guidance in all regions and reviving the religious events.
  3. Preparinga proposal to balance the administration and sending it to specialists in the Ministry.
  4. Coordinating among the Department and Ministry in all fields.
  5. Doing the administrative, financial, services and maintenance works for the administration' buildings and other such as Mosques and Holy Qur'an schools in the region.
  6. Overseeing Mosques and Holy Qur'an schools.

The division includes the following departments:
(A) Department of Endowments, Bayt Al-Mal and Zakat:is specialized in the following:
  1. Overseeing the properties of Endowments and Bayt Al-Mal and managing its affairs within the governorate or region.
  2. Counting the properties of the endowments and Bayt Al-Mal and preparing records to keep their instruments.
  3. Keeping the properties of endowments and Bayt Al-Mal and removing any infringements thereon.
  4. Participating in Zakat collection and ditributing it to its legitimate banks after accounting
  5. Overseeing the agents of endowments and Bayt Al-Maland following-up their works.

(B) Department of preaching and guidance: is specialized in the following:
  1. General supervising on the works of preaching and guidance in the states related to the Department of endowments of the region.
  2. Supervising Preachers and guides, raising periodical reports on their levels and the extent to which they perform the tasks assigned to them.
  3. Implementing the Ministry's program to revive religious events, ceremonies and seminars held in Mosques.
  4. Implementingthe programs of preaching and guidance and distributing them to preachers and guides to ensure delivery for all various states in the region or province.
  5. Making a file for each preacher to keep the follow-up forms, notes and reports that related to the preacher and his activities.
  6. Organizing the courses required for all preachers and guides of the states to raise their level of knowledge which serves Islamic Dawah.

(C) Department of Financial and Administrative Affairs: is specialized in the following:
  1. Proposing the project' budget required for administration and submitting it to the competent authority of the Ministry.
  2. Paying salaries, premiums, allowances and additional fees to the management staff.
  3. Organizing and keeping the financial records, revenues and expenses records of funds related to Bayt Al-Mal, endowments and Zakat.
  4. Doing all warehousing works related to management.
  5. Doing the procurement works within legally authorized limits.
  6. Supervising the management staff' affairs in term of holidays, records, appointments, termination, and others in implementation the Ministry' resolutions.
  7. Identifying the office' needs from workforce and submitting it to the Ministry.
  8. Identifying the training needs for the office staff in coordination with the competent authority of the Ministry.
  9. Doing all administrative operation, correspondence, printing, keeping and opening files for employees in their records.
  10. Supervising the hygiene works of buildings as well guarding.

(D) Department of Projects and Services: is specialized in the following:
  1. Counting the management’s needs of lands that could be used for constructing Mosques, Holy Qur'an Schools, or administrative buildings.
  2. Overseeing the new construction works and following up their completion in coordination with the Department of Projects and Services at the Directorate General for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
  3. Overseeing the maintenance works for all administrative buildings, Mosques, and Holy Qur'an Schools Within the jurisdiction of the Department.
  4. Preparing the records of projects and maintenance.

(E) The Department of Mosques and Holy Qur'an Schools: is specialized in the following:
  1. Overseeing Mosques in term of construction, maintenance or daily cleaning works.
  2. Following-up the furnishing and processing of Mosques.
  3. Supervising the Holy Qur'an schools and following up the educational process.
  4. Following-up the Qur'an teachers, guiding them and preparing reports on their performance.
  5. Making proposals about the construction and restorations of Mosques in all areas.
  6. Submitting citizens' requests for establishingMosques and delivering opinions about these applications to the Department of Mosques Affairs at the General Directorate of Mosques and Holy Qur'an Schools.

(F) Department of Imams and preachers Affairs: is specialized in the following:
  1. General supervising on the praying practice in all Mosques falling within the scope of administration.
  2. Overseeing Mosques' Imams and Preachers and their assistants, and submitting periodical reports on their levels and the extent of performing the assigned tasks.
  3. Making a file for each Imam to save the following-up forms, notes, reports and activities undertaken by each one.
  4. Organizing the courses required for Imams and their assistants belonging to the management in all states to raise theirknowledge' levels with a view to serving the best interest of work.
  5. Making suggestions about the needs of Mosques from Imams and their assistants.
  6. Submitting the citizens' requests to provide Imams and their assistants after delivering opinion on it by the Director of Department.
  7. Distributing the Sermons of Friday and Feasts to Mosques' Imams falling within the scope of administration at the appropriate time.
  8. Establishing the records and files required for the department' work.
  9. Making all duties and tasks assigned to the department related to its competence.
